We’ve had the above photo (courtesy of Mick Buchanan) on top of our club page for a while now but it’s time for a new one. Someone currently in the club must have a nice image that we could use, so if you’re interested in having one of your shots on display at the top of this page, then why not submit one. Bear in mind the size of the header above so your shot will have to fit in. The shot should be representative of Meath and maybe even Navan itself, so no shots of the Eiffel Tower or the Samuel Beckett Bridge please. HDR swans are also excluded!
Post your entries up on our facebook page and the one with the most “likes” will be chosen. Closing date is 31st January.
Have a quick look at the programme page for details on next Mondays lecture and a change to the judging of the Novice section.

Here are the competition results for 2011
Results to December 2011
Due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve had to juggle our calendar about a little bit. Instead of the advertised Low Light talk by Reggie Smith, we will have Fran Byrne give a talk on landscape and wildlife photography. Fran was due to give his talk in May but he has kindly agreed to step in for Reggie next Monday week.
Fran is a very talented photographer who does a lot of his work in and around the Wicklow Mountains. He has some fantastic images of the wild deer and some beautiful early morning sunrise/long exposure shots.
Happy New Year to all our members and friends.
Don’t forget next Monday is the the judging of the Texture competition and Monday 23rd is closing date for entries to the Macro/Close up competition.
