For those of you who couldn’t make the opening night, our exhibition in Navan Library runs until May10th. It’s open to all so bring a friend! There is a beautiful display of photographs on display and a chance to pick up a unique framed piece of art for under €30 in some cases.
What a great talk by Keith last night on that whole other world that is Astrophotography. It was fascinating and judging by the reaction I suspect we may be seeing some of our members giving it a try shortly. On a side note, Shane Murphy, a talented photographer from Drogheda, has posted a useful tutorial on photographing the ISS (International Space Station). You can read his piece here http://shanemurphyphoto.wordpress.com/2012/04/16/imaging-the-iss/ and see some of his amazing images.
On another side note, next Monday we have an extra club night. Andrew Kelly will give a Photoshop Tutorial on Levels, Curves etc. starting at 8pm sharp. So any member interested in this important aspect of image processing, come along next Monday 23rd.
Hi all, here’s an update on the competition results to date. It’s a close race at the top, and there’s quite a few members not participating this year. If there is a reason you are not entering the competitions, we’d love some feedback. If you’d like to give feedback anonymously (as in a letter made up of different size fonts and typefaces from newspaper cuttings), there is a suggestions box near the sign-in area inside the door. It would be really useful to have feedback one way or the other before the summer when next years programme is planned.
Apologies for the incorrect date on the results page. We just can’t get the staff 😉
