ABOUT US

The Story Behind Our Photography Club

Navan Camera Club was formed in 1987 when a small group of people finished a local VEC course in beginners photography and decided to start a club.
Since then we have grown and currently have many members with varying levels of photography experience from advanced to complete beginners.

The annual club programme runs from September through to the following May.

Meetings are held every Monday from 8.00pm to 10pm.

These consist of lectures, club competitions, workshops, practical’s and occasional studio sessions.
We also organise regular club outings, most of which are tied into the club lectures.

The annual weekend away takes place towards the end of the club year.

The club also runs a Digital Beginner’s Course.
This is an intensive 8 week course in September - October which covers all the basics from understanding the settings on your camera right through to creating great images.

Details of membership fees can be found on the Programme Page along with an application form.
