Monday 16th September: Speaker Tina Claffey.
The Navan Camera Club welcomes accomplished photographer, Tina Claffey, she will be joining us for an evening on Macro photography.
She is a nature (flora and fauna) photographer, for 10 years photographing in and working for safari industry in Botswana.
Moving back to Ireland her focused switched to the rich vein that is the wetlands and bogs of the Irish Midlands, which she explores at the miniature level, with her macro lens.
She has exhibited in the US (New York & San Fransisco), Botswana, Zambia and throughout Ireland. She holds awards from highly prestigious world competitions including Fine Art Photography Awards 2019, BigPicture 2019, Close Up Photographer of the Year 2019 and IGSPOTY Macro competition 2018.
Her work can be discovered in the book ‘Tapestry of Light-Ireland’s bogs & wetlands as never seen before‘ published in October 2017. It is also part of the permanent collection at Aras an Uachtarain.
